Membership Organisation – Corporate Strategy and National Targeted Search

Business Challenge
This highly successful membership organisation operates across three countries, is commercially driven with a strong set of member based values and ethos. With a focus on growth, the company has been exploring both geographical and service offering strategies. The organisation’s major challenge has been selecting the right executives with a demonstrated alignment to their core values and philosophies and who could contribute effectively at the Board table. In line with their strategic plan, we were provided a mandate to source a number of key leadership and business critical roles based at their corporate office.

Solution
The recruitment strategy was agreed to, the key focus of which was to undertake both a nationally focused executive search and advertised approach. A detailed briefing and the development of a strong marketing document that would be used to communicate the company brand and requirements to potential candidates was developed along with a list of targeted individuals. This targeted recruitment process is effective in broadening the pool of candidate and identifying those who would be aligned to similar values, operating style and culture. Also, speaking with each candidate on an individual basis enabled key information to be translated.
What this process demonstrated was that candidates were best managed through an executive search process to ensure that every interaction was leveraged and important messages communicated. This has assisted our client to fill business critical roles with access to a broader pool beyond the local market.

Outcome
We have been successful by adding value and demonstrating a detailed understanding of the organisation’s culture. Our strategy marketed the organisation and the key selling attributes of the positions outside of standard processes. Five executive level roles have been successfully recruited, functional heads across Legal, Accounting & Finance, Strategy, Information Technology and Operations. Without exception these executives are cognitively bright and possess temperaments and geographical knowledge well suited to not just the challenges of their immediate role, but also to deliver the future vision and growth.
